The old miller's dwelling
The old miller's dwelling was built around 1750 as a 4-pillar-timber-framed
construction and served as a livingplace for miller and shepherd. Since
1829 it was used as stable for cows, pigs, chicken, and ducks, and for
keeping the winter storage of hay and straw.
Since 1990 the community of Stuhr provides an artist's flat and two
spacy workrooms for artists in this oldest building of the mill complex.
Here artists live and work on scholarships of the community for 1 year
each.
